Brand Names and Products

Arcydea, like most worlds, has many of its own unique brands and products; this page gives examples of some of these popular companies and what they sell.

Brand Names:

Nexus City Brand: The 'Nexus City' brand is known both for its cheapness in price and quality. However, it generally covers even 'monopoly' markets, such as wanderballs and nuclear ordinance.

Crommel State Manufacturers: The CSM is known for excellent quality (goods break less readily, weigh less, and/or work better); cost is often (at least) 50% above standard.

Wandering Designs: The Wandering Designs brand has branch offices across Arcydea, and has a number of product divisions covering an extensive range of product requirements. Wandering Designs Wanderballs is one of the best known, as they are the official sponsors and maintainers of the Wanderball World Tournament.

Product Examples:

Mithrai Golden Broadsword: An incredibly expensive shatterproofed broadsword made entirely out of gold. Double weight, required ST +4.

Nexus City Broomstick: A four-barreled shotgun with massive recoil. Great for making dragons into mincemeat. Slow to reload.

Crystech Mobile Phone: A cell phone that operates in most civilized regions. Crystal requires monthly re-enchantment at 50s / visit.

Preserver Boltgun: A rapid-fire flechette gun loaded with prepared dart clips; silver and iron are popular favorites. Poisoned clips available at extra cost.

Preserver Boltsprayer: A flechette gun with autofire and a reloadable drum mechanism. Truly fearsome to the forces of evil (and anything else that gets in the way!)

Mullen Knight-Opener: A powerful bolt-action sniper rifle with scope.

Phoenix Potion Helmet: This horned helmet conceals two four-ounce potion flasks, hidden in the horns and fed via plastic valved strays into the helmet. Why search for a potion when you can just turn and sip with the Phoenix Potion Helmet?

G&G 'Stakeproof' Trauma Vest: A ballistic vest with trauma plating, handy for repelling unexpected arrows and stakes aimed at the heart. Note: Vest is not perfectly stakeproof, but is much better than nothing.

G&G Barbed Neckplate: Whether you fear decapitations or need to convince people your neck just isn't for biting, this fashionable barbed neckplate is for you. (DR 6, inflicts 1d damage on potential biters)

Xintech Plasma Cannon: A heavy support weapon that fires highly destructive plasma bursts. Weapon overheats if sustained fire over 5 secs.

Valex Autograpnel: A self-propelled grapnel and 50 yards of rope capable of supporting 300 lbs.

Jadei Singletap: A fearsome handcannon; one shot is generally all it takes.

Inko "Mauler" Spiked Chains: 4 yard long chains covered in viciousspikes. Chain jams often.
