Welcome to the CharLoft Java Chat System, built for the CharLoft LiveJournal Community. If you have an IRC client you would prefer to use, the server is irc.darkmyst.org and the main OOC chatroom is #The_Loft.
Commands:
- /join #The_Loft : Joins the Loft, the out-of-character common area for members of Char Loft, and other Lab Arc games and affiliated efforts.
- /join #CharLoft : Joins the Char Loft, the in-character roleplay area for members of Char Loft. For more information on the roleplay area, check out the Char Loft Wiki.
- /join #FightLoft : Joins the Fight Loft, the room used for Char Loft's combat arena and for hosting adventures using the Char Loft RPG homebrew system.
- /join #NanoLoft : Joins the Chat Loft, the in-character online chat room for characters of Char Loft (#CharLoft). All chat in here should be in character, between characters.
- /join #roomname : Joins a new room named #roomname
- /msg theirnickname : Messages user named theirnickname privately.
- /me uses an example of emote text : Allows you to use emote text, such as in the example.
- /part : Leave the current room.
- /quit : Disconnect from server.
- /nick mynickname : Changes your current nickname to mynickname. If mynickname is currently registered, you must identify yourself (as below) using the password for the nick or be forced to change it.
- /msg nickserv register mypassword myemail@address : Register the nickname you are using with password mypassword and email address myemail@address.
- /msg nickserv identify mypassword : Identify yourself to the server under the current nickname using mypassword.
- /msg nickserv ghost mynickname mypassword : Disconnect mynickname from server (must be registered, and mypassword must be correct password.)
You can click on the boxes to switch which room or message you are currently viewing (for example, try clicking the box for #The_Loft to switch your perspective to that room.) Public or private areas in which unread comments are waiting are highlighted in red. To enter a command, just type it on a blank line in the chat window.
