1. Rent is due on the first
of the month. If you are going to be late with the rent, please let us
know as soon as possible when you will be able to make payment. Payment
for multiple months in advance is acceptable, if prior arrangements are
made.
2. Please watch out for little Mitzi - she roams the hallways, and has
been known to try and leave the building through the front door. Other
than being walked on a leash, she is not allowed outside, so do not let
her leave the building. Also, take care while doing your laundry as she
has a habit of sleeping in baskets.
3. Respect your fellow tenants and show the common courtesies of not
making too much noise, moving furniture at night while others are
trying to sleep, etc.
4. The lounge, laundry facilities, and back yard are for the use of all
residents- please clean up after yourself when you use them, however,
and share these privileges nicely. Do not overload the laundry
machines. If you don't know how to do laundry, please do not attempt to
figure it out yourself.
5. Trash collection is on Wednesday. Please take your trash out to the
dumpster (located in the alley on the right of our building) so that it
may be collected.
6. If something in your apartment is in need of repair (heating,
plumbing, electical), please contact Eddie Lancaster, our maintainance
man,
in apartment two. For any other matters (your rent, tenant disputes,
etc.) please contact myself, Mrs. Peabody, in apartment one. Phone
numbers are available with your lease agreement.
7. You may have guests in your apartment as you wish; however, please
do not leave the front door of the building unlocked at night for your
guests. They must be buzzed in, and the front door must remain locked
after sunset. This is for your safety, and the safety of everyone in
the building, so please respect this rule.
8. Mail can be collected from the mail slots in the hallway by the
lounge on the first floor. Mail delivery time is usually around 3 PM.
Each slot is marked with your apartment number and name for ease of
mail delivery. Please do not change the name on your mail box,
especially to rude words. Yes, this has been a problem in the past -
and it is not amusing, and will be considered a violation of your lease
agreement.
9. Any damage to your apartment that was not already noted on your
lease will be deducted from your security deposit when you leave our
residence.
