Mandy Smith is a widow of a friend of the guardians, a former news anchor, and a psychic, although she hides the psychic part from everyone. After the collapse of her career and her mental stability, and the 'mysterious death' of her mother by fire, she is not exactly trusted by most of the rest of the group. She has a few underground connections, and really likes fire and pain -- but for now, she seems content to be Nica's lover, docile and quiet... for now.
