Bambi LaRue: Slayer

Bambi LaRue was totally psyched to hear she was the Slayer. She always knew that she was special, and the boring British guy that told her of her destiny confirmed it. Unfortunately, before she could learn too much from him, she drove him slightly insane due to her constant prattling, trying to do his nails, and countless hours of Britney Spears tapes. Going through his personal effects after the unfortunate incident, she read about the whole death of Buffy thing (what a bummer!) and that there was 'totally an opening' for a new Slayer in Sunnydale, California. Bambi had always wanted to go to California - it was the home of the stars, after all, and she was certainly a star. Much to her dismay, however, she found another Slayer was on the scene, along with her own, still sane, Watcher. Bambi had a hard time sharing the spotlight - she tended to think of all the other members of the Last as background to her starring role. She's grown out of this as time went on, and is continuing to better herself.

History:
Bambi LaRue was born in New Orleans, the only daughter of "Fat Tommy" (Thomas) LaRue and his second wife, Bunny. After five sons (three from his first wife, two by Bunny), "Fat Tommy" had plenty of children to follow him into the mysterious family 'salvage business' that made them quite a bit of money. As a result, Bambi was treated like a precious, but utterly useless, ornament all her life by both her parents and the two brothers still living at home (Vincent "Little Vinnie" and Hank "Hank the Shank" LaRue). Everything she wanted, she got, from ponies to designer outfits to trips to Europe. It was during one of these trips to Europe (while in England, in fact) that Bambi met destiny in the form of an old, proper British man named Mr. Falkner. Mr. Falkner told Bambi that she was the Chosen One, the Slayer. Bambi thought that was ultra cool, and in an attempt to bond with her Watcher, subjected him to many hours of chatter, Spice Girls, Britney Spears, makeovers, and manicures. Subsequently, Falkner went a bit insane and had to be carted off (rumors of his suicide afterwards may or may not be exaggerated.) In possibly the smartest move she's ever made, Bambi looked through his 'boring British guy stuff' and found out that she was supposed to be going to Sunnydale, California to replace a recently dead Slayer. Bambi pictured the lush beaches, the wonderful shopping malls, and Beverly Hills and knew she "so totally" had to go! Calling for a plane ticket and extra money from Daddy, she excitedly headed off to meet her destiny. Also in Falkner's notes was information on the former Slayer, including an address and the names of her friends. It was a good place to start. Much to what would be her dismay if she knew a word that big, Bambi disovered that another Slayer, Tamara, had arrived on the scene. In an effort to thwart this "totally uncool" development, Bambi tried to make the former Slayer's friends her 'minions', and assign Tamara to "Slayer number two" status. It didn't quite work out that way. She wound up 'totally sharing' Tamara's watcher, Cory, and being enrolled in High School mostly against her will. Once in school, however, she dixcovered that she actually wanted to apply herself and do well, to try and become smarter somehow. Also in school, she met her best friend Danielle, and her (now ex) boyfriend Julius, so it can't be all that bad.  Though Bambi still liked the spotlight a bit much, deep down, she was  glad to be a part of the Last. Through many trials and tribulations, she's come through with a more serious aproach to life and slayerdom. Now romantically involved with her Watcher, Marcus, Bambi continues to train to be the best slayer she can be.
