Synopsis:
Bambi's first day at school is rudely interrupted by the discovery of a
decapitated corpse in the locker area. As it turned out, the jocular
community - and everyone else who had ever made Keith Dicks suffer -
were meeting gruesome fates at the hands of characters from television
shows. After deducing the cause, they eventually tracked Keith to the
abandoned Channel 13 Nova Broadcasting Network (NBN-13), where a lucky
shot from
Cory's crossbow shattered the icon of Keith's power, and consigned him
to an off-the-air fate.
The Baddies:
Keith Dicks -- A twerpy little guy who never even achieved geek
status (his grades were too low), Keith Dicks had the innate ability to
irritate almost everyone within ten minutes of talking to him. Julius
Desmond was one of his few friends. Unfortunately, when Keith acquired
a magical remote control (how is still a mystery), he found the power
to conjure up television characters and send them to wreak his bidding.
He used a total of four of these characters before his remote was
obliterated.
Dara, the Barbarian Queen: The starring character of
Dara, Barbarian Queen, Dara of Neos Atlantis wielded a pair of
magical throwing axes and a long sword in combat. She was responsible
for decapitating Sean Lowell, and also impaled Donny. She eventually
was popped out of existence by the combined efforts of Bambi, Tamara,
Spike, and Cory, who saved Diego and Brian from certain death (although
they still were severely injured during the confrontation.)
Finn O'Cool: The title character of The Eternal Gael,
Finn
O'Cool was best known for his rapid powers of regeneration and
immortality. He was sent to kill Julius Desmond, but the secret of his
immortality shattered with his heart when Tamara impaled him on his own
blade, popping him back out of reality.
Captain John Steel: The most reluctant of 'baddies', John
Steel was the captain of the Starship Intrepid, and probably the most
honorable villian of the day. Refusing to kill unless absolutely
necessary and justified (and even then, feeling guilty about it),
Captain Steel merely stunned Spike with a shot from his stun blaster
before kidnapping the jock duo from their hospital room. He did,
however, vaporize Keith's alcoholic, abusive father... but we all know
he felt guilty about it. Steel vanished when the magical remote Keith
was using was broken.
The Cyborg Defender: C-2000, the cyborg, got a brief
showing in
this little nightmare, when Keith Dicks summoned him to destroy Brian
and
Diego - and the Slayers and company, when they burst in to intervene.
Bambi
and Tamara attempted to pummel the robotic being without much success,
although
they did manage to fling him across the room; however, C-2000
disappeared when Keith's magical remote was shattered.
With the breaking of his magical remote, however, Keith Dicks
was absorbed into a television set, where the host of Who Wants to
Spin the Wheel of Jeopardy? consigned him to a fiery fate in a
nether-realm - will Keith be seen again? Where did that remote come
from - and what really happened at the end? We may never know.
The Chicas -- A bad-girl vampire biker gang, who has taken
residence in the abandoned CRD factory near the edge of Sunnydale
(aren't they all.) The Chicas number eight to ten as of last count, and
are led by a Spanish sword-wielding vampire named Gabby Blades. The
Chicas were not
involved in the actual murders taking place in Crestview High; they
aren't
exactly innocent bystanders, though, and two of them were dusted by
Tamara
and Bambi during a fight outside the Bronze.
Deaths of the Innocent:
Sean Lowell -- Decapitated. Found dead in the lockers of his
buddies Brian and Diego. Killed by Dara the Barbarian Queen (see Keith
Dicks, below.)
Donny Ferrelli -- Impaled. Died in an alleyway outside of the
Bronze. Killed by Dara the Barbarian Queen (see Keith Dicks, below.)
Roger Dicks -- Vaporized. Only his shoes were found on the lawn
of the Dicks residence, after being paid a visit by Captain John Steel.
General Weirdness:
As a result of this Episode, Bambi and Tamara ended up befriending two
potential allies. Julius Desmond, the vaguely geeky person who made the
mistake of arguing with Keith and nearly ended up decapitated for
it, is fairly smart and possibly helpful at scientific and computer
work,
and Danielle Pfeiffer, although presently trying to Wicca up a more
attractive her, may have some actual power if it is allowed to develop.
The group
even now has a semi-official name -- "The Last", suggested by
Julius. "You know, the last line of defense against the worst scum of
the planet."

Synopsis:
Strange events at school lead Bambi to the realization that something
sinister is up, when Donna Taylor goes from traumatized and
boyfriendless to cheerful and followed by nearly every attractive boy
in school. Things are going great, until it gets out of hand, and Donna
takes a big fall down a short flight of stairs. Turns out that Donna
made a wish, and recieved a talisman that gave her charming powers --
but also made her enemies insane with jealousy, causing Tanya to snap
and attack everyone who spent time with her boyfriend, Thom.
Fortunately, the Last traced her down and managed to avert the fatal,
although Danielle was nearly run down in the meantime.
The Baddies:
Donna Taylor -- Not really evil, this teenage student was merely
caught up in the allure of the Djinn's wishcraft, and nearly died from
it. Fortunately, her connection to the Djinn was severed before it was
too late - but her unnatural attraction could have been very dangerous
had it been allowed to get out of hand.
Tanya Regal -- Another of the Popular Girls, Tanya Regal
always was a bit possessive of her boyfriend Thom. When Thom started
following Donna around for no good reason, though, her jealousy turned
into madness. Before the episode was over, she'd shoved Donna
downstairs (breaking her leg), tried to run down Danielle with her car
(and managed to sideswipe her once), and drove to the local Lover's
Lane to break Thom and Louise up
- with a shotgun. Thankfully, she was talked out of it by Bambi.
Deaths of the Innocent:
Nobody died in this episode! Score one for the good guys!
General Weirdness:
Bambi's Spanish teacher, Hannah Maxwell, turned out to know a few
languages besides Spanish, including Arabic runes, and helped Cory
translate the runic inscriptions on the remote control, and later on
the locket Donna was wearing that caused her romantic strife. Hannah
and her younger brother Kevin (who happens to be a werewolf) ended up
moving into the Albright house and bringing their extensive library of
occultism and problems with them, as Hannah and Cory have taken up with
each other.

Synopsis: The roleplaying game Heroes and Horrors gets
a little too realistic! The school's roleplaying club has a bad gaming
session in which the character of one Carmen Kahl meets a bad end. Kahl
is so distraught over the loss of his favorite character, that he calls
his fellow players cheaters and storms off. He wishes that he could
show
them a thing or two... teach them a real lesson. Bambi notices that her
fellow student, Benjamin Trevors, the "Fate Keeper" of the roleplaying
group, is looking a little bummed. Turns out that his friends from the
roleplaying game group have gone missing. Finding the missing
students
turns out to be more than the group bargained for- as they're quite
gone,
but there are some strange characters (literally) running about
Sunnydale.
From Morrowind the monk to Maxwell the thief, the students appear to
have
turned into their characters. Funny moments include Kevin introducing
the
characters to the wonders of such 'magical' devices as the phone and
the
microwave. When strange purple zombies and yellow skeletons start
showing
up in the graveyards, Cory and Hannah are stumped. They can find
nothing
in their occult books about these creatures. Benjamin has a bit more of
a clue, however - they're all mosters from Heroes and Horrors! Turns
out
Kahl's character is getting his necromantic groove on. Thanks to Hannah
and Bambi breaking his staff of power, the necromancer is defeated -
and
turns into a simple character sheet for a boy named Carmen Kahl. As the
group goes to pick the sheet up, it bursts into flames. The characters
turn back into their players, and life goes on in Sunnydale.
The Baddies:
Carmen Kahl- A little too into roleplaying games, Carmen's wish
eventually costs him his life.
Deaths of the Innocent:
No one died that didn't deserve it!
Other odd notes:
Bambi has related her secret of being a Slayer to one of her father's
visiting associates. Oddly enough, he didn't seem too surprised by the
sharing of information about vampires in Sunnydale...
Bambi's father got her a motorcycle liscence. Look out, world!
Kevin wrote a love song for Danielle, and they've actually
progressed into
the kissing stage of relationships.
Tamara did a tarot reading for herself and several others that had
disturbing results; Spike and Tamara may have a relationship difficulty
ahead, Bambi's selfishness might be a downfall, and Danielle's shyness
might just cost her everything as well.

Synopsis: The Last finds out that the Djinn's scope of
wish-granting powers doesn't end with humans when two small-time
vampires
make wishes to be powerful gang leaders in When Giants Clash. Gang
violence
and graffiti in Sunnydale are on the rise, and naturally, the school
is concerned. They have a pep rally including a rousing anti-gang
speech
by Eric, The All-American Eagle (Mr. Walsh, poor guy!) and tell the
kids
to 'just say no to gangs'. Hannah recognizes a magical glyph in one of
the slides from the slide show - looks like Djinn at work. The Last
witnesses
a gang war at the mall, and thanks to Danielle's quick thinking, the
fire alarm is pulled, evacuating most of the innocent citizens from the
building in a fairly rapid fashion. The Last aids in staking any
stragglers from the main battle, then follows the two gang leaders to
their lair, in the (yuck!) sewers. Thanks to some quick staking by
Bambi, they're dispatched before they can recieve more enhancement.
The Baddies:
Gary Point- After his wish, scrawny Gary turned big. Really big.
Eight feet of big. As Danielle put it: "He looks like he ate his
Wheaties.. then ate the guy on the box". Gary's vampire thugs were
called
The Granites, because of his rock-like strength.
Mark LaDuke- Mark didn't go in for the whole physical
strenght. He wished for powers of the mind, and his Vipers were mostly
mind-controled vampires.
Deaths of the Innocent:
A few security guards were gished at the mall as the confrontation was
starting.
Other odd notes:
Kevin found out:
Leaping from the second floor of a mall onto a vampire - cool.
Doing it and ending up in the middle of a vampire gang - not cool.
Danielle can do pencil telekinesis!
For once, going to the mall was the right idea.
Eric the All-American Eagle is damn funny.
8 ft tall vampires can beat people to death with dumpsters. Ouch.
Sewer crawling is nasty.
Bambi and Tamara each got a kitten from Clem. Bambi named hers
Britney, while Tamara called hers Bobby.

Synopsis:
A mysterious black van has been following the Slayers, dispensing demons
and mayhem. Bambi, Danielle and Kevin were attacked by a demon
on their way home from school, while Tamara encountered four while
visiting the Magic Box. Tamara, Spike and Cory are giving the kids
'Slaying Lessons'. The group ran across a demon that was stealing
kidneys and keeping them in little tupperware containers (yuck!) . The
Last have met up with a new ally - Xavier Holderan, a tough as nails
detective who recently was transferred from LA to Sunnydale. Tamara
filled him in on the facts of life in Sunnydale, and has adopted him
into the group. Two lizard-like demons robbed a bank.Tamara hasn't been
sleeping well lately, considering the reoccuring nightmares, and a
vision of vampires exploding a gas station. The vision came true
in the form of a brutal murder of three people at a Citgo station - two
with throats cut, and one who was tied to the pumps before they were
exploded. Can you say, ow?
Cory and Tamara disguised themselves and went to the morgue to get
a
closer look at the bodies, pretending to be the (redneck) relatives of
one
of the victims, a man named Leroy. On the way home, they found a church
that
had been graffitied and a missing minister. Bambi and Hannah were alone
at the Last Resort when demons (the two lizardly demons that attacked
the bank!) cut the power and burst into the house to attack. Bambi kept
the demons busy while Hannah ran upstairs to call the rest of the group
home from patrol (cell phones are a good thing) and to arm herself with
one of Cory's crossbows. By the time the rest of the group came home,
the demons were dispatched, and identified as Miquot demons. While
Tamara and Cory were out disposing of the corpses, Bambi was feeling
under-appreciated wished that she could be the number one slayer, and
everyone would pay attention to her instead of Tamara. When an evil
voice said "Your wish is granted" and Spike started actually being nice
to her (well, nice for Spike), she knew she was in trouble. In order to
remove the Djinn's Mark and be released from the wish before anything
horrible happened, Bambi had to admit that she wasn't 'numero uno', and
get Tamara to take back her job of doing the planning and such.
Thinking is hard for Bambi, but she managed to do it
- and has vowed never to say the W word again.
Cory recieved a phonecall from a strange former Watcher and
ex-friend
of his named Brian who was removed from Watcherdom for his radical idea
of
causing the temporary death of a Slayer to launch another Slayer, and
so
on, so that many slayers were brought into being to fight evil. Also
some
issue involving the woman he loved being turned into a vampire. Very
suspicious!
Bambi was assigned by her Relgions and Myths class to do a report on a
new
church starting in town, the Church of Immortal Light. The church
turned
out to be a cult- and chock full of vampires at that. Turns out that
they
were recruiting more vampires to their glorious cause, headed up by the
missing
Reverand- a newly turned vampire. He spoke ferverantly about the man
who
turned him, and when he was captured was forced to describe said man.
When
Tamara sketched the man and showed the sketch to Cory- it turned out to
be
the ex-watcher, Brian! He seems to be seeking to open the Hellmouth
with
the aid of a lady vampire, to bring about some sort of judgement day....
The Baddies:
The Black Van - Who or what is in it?
Miquot Demons - They robbed a bank, they tried to kill
Bambi, they died.
Religious Vampires - Busted and dusted.
The Reverand- Decapitated by Tamara after questioning.
Brian Wherton- Still at large, and very dangerously deranged.
Lady Vampire- At large, with Brian.
Deaths of the Innocent:
Guy that got his kidneys removed
Three people at a gas station
Other odd notes:
Charred corpses make Cory think of pork.
Spike's been having an easier time hitting Bambi lately. Is the chip
malfunctioning, or is it just that she's such a 'sodding bitch'? He
doesn't seem to
be wincing quite as hard... (insert ominous tones)
The Reverend was unnaffected by crosses, perhaps due to his holy
beliefs in life.
Brian and his vampire woman are still out there somewhere....
A very newly turned vampire named Maria was given the chance at a
new
life- and brought to Clem's crypt.
A special guest star visited - Steve Irwin of Croc Hunter
fame.

Synopsis:
Spike ponders how his life has changed since meeting Tamara. He seeks
to put an end to her reoccuring nightmares with a mysterious amulet-
but things don't turn out quite the way he planned. Instead, people
wind up singing and dancing, and in some cases, burning. Xavier is busy
taking 'witness arias', including one from Dr. Sian Wu, who was
attacked by a vampire during a blood truck robbery (her life was spared
when the vampire paused in attacking her to sing a breakaway pop
number). Sian questioned him about the existance of vampires and they
had a very lengthy discussion that ended in her inviting him for
dinner, and him giving her the phone number of the Last. The group
learns some valuable lessons....
Click here to read the script of Once
More With Bleeding!
Other odd notes:
Spike's chip is definately non-functional - at least where Bambi is
concerned.
After a torrid night of unexpected passion, Xavier and Sian have
become a sudden and unexpected couple.
(Episode Source: Btvs RPG Director's Screen)
Synopsis:
What's six foot tall and likes to suck out your spinal fluid? Why
it's a Vemuscas demon, and it's feeding all over town! Poor Maria was
picked up by the Vemuscus outside of Clem's crypt- but fortunately
dropped
when the beastie discovered she had no yummy spinal goodness. This was
Sian's first adventure with the group- she joined just in time to trek
through the swamp to the lair of the beast. Thanks to an industrial
strength
fishing net, a specially blended bug spray, and some good old fashioned
crossbow and gunfire- the creature was defeated. The Last then had to
crawl down into the lair and finish off the young. Ewwww. Turns out the
Djinn grants wishes for demon insects, too....
While all this demon hunting stuff was going on, Bambi was also trying
out for cheerleading. Julius and Danielle's parents were getting a bit
cranky, and insisted that their respective children spend the weekend
at home. Tamara discussed the posibility of a new house with Cory,
perhaps a mansion -- or even a castle! The Last have heard that one
exists in Sunnydale Heights...
The Baddies:
Vemuscus and its young
Parents!
Other Odd Notes:
Bambi made the cheerleading squad!

Synopsis:
When Danielle returns from her talk with her mother, Kevin notices
she's acting rather strangely. He begins to wonder if something is up.
With instructions gained from calling Anya, he casts a spell to see
what's wrong. He finds out that Sarah (Danielle's mother) has cast a
spell on
Danielle. When Cory and Hannah headed to Dannielle's house to confront
Sarah- they found a shocking scene. Sarah was quite unconscious with a
member of her coven looking over her. Worried about the situation, they
called the group.Tamara, Spike, Sian, and Xavier came over to help.
Sian
examined the unconscious woman and found she'd been drugged, and
proceeded
to pump her stomach. When the unconscious woman woke up - she
identified
herself as Danielle, despite the body! The group called
Kevin
and Bambi, who tied up Sarah in Danielle's body, and got the
explaination.
Mother had been looking to make Danielle less shy- and tried to share
some
of her better qualities. Unfortunately, the spell went awry, and body
switch
occured. The party responsible turned out to be LeeAnne, one of
Sarah's
coven who apparently had it in for her former friends. She killed
another
member of the coven, Donna, and then tried to escape. A high speed
police
chase ensued, with the off-duty Xavier and Tamara joining in. While
Xavier
pulled his car up alongside, Tamara jumped out and through the window
of
LeeAnne's car, knocking her unconscious and steering the car to a safe
stop.
The spellbook used for the incantation turned out to be Djinn-powered!
Reversing
the spell put both mother and daughter back to their right condition.
The Baddies:
LeeAnn, a disgruntled witch.
Deaths of the Innocent:
Donna, one of the members of the coven, was found bludgeoned to
death in LeeAnn's closet.
Other Odd Notes:
Kevin feels traumatized over 'bad touching' by Sarah while she was
in Danielle's body.
Tamara got to play 'action movie hero' and car jump!

Synopsis:
When Tamara has visions of the deaths of several members of the
Last, including her beloved Spike- it's not starting off to be a good
week. Things just get worse when Julius tells her that he's had the
very same dream! Adding to the problems is a celestial alignment that
means it's the ideal time for the children of (rhymes with Viagra) to
summon their demonic lord. During a rough battle with these demonic
children, Tamara and Bambi experience a waning of their slayer
problems. Kevin couldn't be happier, though- the strange celestial
alignment gives him the opertunity to keep control over himself while
in werewolf form. On the way home from the odd battle, Tamra notices
that Julius is throwing a stress ball from hand to hand very rapidly
with a dexterity beyond that he normally posesses. She begins to become
suspicious...
Things get way weird when Julius shows up to walk Bambi to school in
the morning and looks very unnerved. A 'watcher' showed up, supposedly
a member of an 'invisible council', telling Julius that he was going to
be the male slayer. Tamara confronted Julius and demanded to know 'what
he did'. He claimed to have done nothing. The strange power
disturbance continued, as Julius grew stronger while Bambi and Tamara
grew weaker.
Worse, Xavier was so injured in battle he had to be hospitalized. With
further research into the problem, it was discovered that Julius
had
somehow made a wish- and that the way to remove the curse was either to
chop
off the head of the caster or to use true demon blood. The Last used a
tracer
spell to track Julius's 'watcher' down- and confronted him. He turned
out
to be a man with cancer who had been 'saved' by the Djin and allowed to
go
on living in his service. When they went to chop off the head though -
a
terrible thing happened. Tumors exploded from his body, leaving him a
nasty
lump of dead flesh. No head. The only option was shaping up to be a
grim
one- trying to collect blood from (rhymes with Viagra) without letting
him
escape into the world. Fighting demons and tentacular projections from
the
portal was no easy task with two incapacitated slayers, but thanks to
the
He-Slayer and the Last, they managed. Spike in particular was very
heroic,
beating back the tentacles to cover their escape up the stairs so that
the
portal would close on teh beasty and blood could be collected.
As they were heading back to collect the blood, Tamra and Bambi
suddnely collapsed. The spell to fix the wish had to be done right
then, right
there- on the Hellmouth. Dannielle cast the spell with Tamara, Julius,
and Bambi in the circle. Each one saw the Djin while in their dazed
state,
asking if they would let the others burn to save their own lives. All
three
of them stuck up for each other. When they woke, Tamara and Bambi were
still
weak, and Julius had to be brought to the hospital. At least Julius
wasn't
in trouble with his parents for disapearing for a few days thanks to
the
gruesome injuries. Bambi and Tamara were releived to hear that the
power
drain was 'only temporary'. Fun week. And next week isn't looking too
good
either, as the Watchers Council is sending someone to evaluate the
slayers
to see if Bambi needs her own personal Watcher because two slayers may
be
a bit hard for one Cory to handle...
The Baddies:
Children of (rhymes with Viagra)
A group of vampies
The 'watcher'
Deaths of the Innocent:
Mostly prevented, though there was one sacrifice in an Indian burial
ground that they didn't get to in time...
Other Odd Notes:
Being hospitalized prevents parents from complaining about your absense.
Dating a doctor gets you great medical care.
Spike saved Bambi from being eaten!
A new watcher on the way?
A new Last Resort in the works!
(Episode Source: Written by Aus Cushing )
Synopsis:
Xavier called Tamara on a lovely Tuesday morning to let her know
about a crime committed against two police officers by a group of
demons. Apparently, the police had been called in on an annoyomous tip
of drug
activity- and found organ eating Nictos demons instead. One of the
officers
managed to survive, and was unconscious at the hospital. Tamara checked
out the body, then headed to the airport with a rather cranky Cory. A
Watcher
named Marcus Leavensby arrived in Sunnydale to evaluate the situation
and
make a report to the Watcher's Council. Marcus began to talk to
everyone
during the next few days, resulting in some rather funny situations
while
everyone tried to get Bambi not to babble about things that would make
them
look bad. He talked to Tamara about her relationship with Spike, and
got
to hear her philosophy on the nature of a vampire's demonic soul.
Marcus's
continued presence in the house made Cory grumpier, and caused some
minor
problems- including weird British breakfasts.
McCarthy's coffee shop was the next scene of actual trouble, where
vampires with shotguns were holding up the patrons and the owner, Alice
(yes, this is the same coffee shop from Episode 4!) and having a
shootout with the police. Tamra, remembering the layout from their
dealings with cultists, set up most of the group with crossbows
outside, waiting for the shots from the inside to cease. She then took
Bambi and Kevin with her to do the building climb/leap routine to come
in through the trap door on the roof of the coffee place - a definate
leap of faith at the moment considering her slayer powers had not yet
returned. Coming in from the top floor, the three made their
way down for the stairs where a vampire was dragging Alice upwards.
Kevin
thought quickly and bonked the vampire with one of his gauntless,
allowing Alice the moment she needed to make a break for freedom
upstairs. The rest of the group started in with the crossbow fire-
including a well-placed shot from Julius that stapled a vampire's hand
to the floor. That vampire, Eric, provided some information about who
had set up the situation- none other than
our 'friend' Brian and his vampire girlfriend, Eric's sire Juliet. He
also
said that Brian had told them to pick up a book that Alice had been
holding
for him. Further disturbing information- Brian had actually
become
vampiric himself. Eric was due to meet up with Brian later that week,
so
the group took him prisoner, agreeing to free him if he lead them to
Brian's location. The group talked to Alice about the book- she
remembered, vaguely, that the 'minister's friend' had given her some
sort of book to hide and hold.
She tried to find the book- but found it gone. Furthermore, talking
about
the book seemed to cause her great dificulty. Figuring (correctly) she
was
under a spell, they took her home to remove it. As they were coming out
of
the coffee shop, Bambi saw movement out of the corner of her eye, and
noticed
a sniper with crossbow was about to dust Eric. She quickly knocked him
aside
enough that the bolt hit into his shoulder, not his heart. So much for
having
him lead them to Brian- his former employer was apprently displeaesed.
Eric
was allowed to stay at the house as more of a 'guest' considering that
he'd
almost died, as long as he agreed to abide by the house rules and not
eat
anyone. In the mailbox, the group found a picture of themselves
from
that evening- with a big target digitally imaged over Marcus's head
with
the words "Wishing you weren't here" written.
Eric turned out to be a very new vampire, who had formerly been a
security consultant- he may be of use in designing defenses for the new
Last Resort. That night, Julius had a dream about a geeky boy
getting a magic using lesson on the Hellmouth itself from a strange
dark-haired instructor. While they were practicing, a group of wolf
things like in Tamara's earlier visions came in. The Last started their
patrol that evening with the Hellmouth itself- and discovered a tunnel
leading to Tavish cemetary, directly. Figuring this was a bad thing to
allow to remain, the group called Xander and got some instructions and
help in collapsing said tunnel. The Hellmouth itself, however- was
quiet until later that night. Cops had been called to the scene to
respond to 'strange lights' at the construction site of Sunnydale High.
The group headed for the scene, just in time to see the strange
wolf-demons heading for the building that the cops were checking out.
The Last quickly rushed into battle with the beasts. During the battle,
a sniper shot from a nearby building struck Marcus - who fortunately
saw the bolt coming in time to
get out of the way of most of it, taking it in the hand. After the
battle,
a boy named Dave emerged from the building. He'd been learning in the
basement
from his 'councilor' , Warren. He handed the group an Affirmations
pamphlet.
Aparently, this 'movement' was all about wish-fulfilment- meaning the
Djinn
was at work here. Sure enough, Dave had the Mark of the Djinn on him.
Furthermore,
Spike recognized Warren from Tamara's vision sketch- he had built an
unbelievably anatomically correct robotic woman once (Spike, noteably,
didn't go into
the whole Buffybot experience. Would you?).
While Danielle was casting the spell that would remove the mark, and
the rest of the group was doing the 'relax and unwind after the battle'
thing at the Last Resort, a terrible thing occured. Tamara saw a figure
in the window, raising a shotgun towards Danielle's head. With only a
split second to act, Tamara leapt to her feet, blocking Danielle with
her own body
and throwing a lamp through the window. She took a shotgun pellet shot
to
the shoulder, but she leapt through the broken window anyhow to battle
the
attacker. As everyone got to their feet and gathered weapons to follow,
other
guns went off outside. Vampires were surrounding the house and taking
shots
through the various windows- and shooting out the tires of the Last's
vehicles
(with the exception of Tamara, whose new Lincoln Towncar resides in the
garage for easier Spike transport). The shootout was very damaging to
the
property, but fortunately, no one of the Last was seriously hurt.
Noteably,
Spike got a bit pissed about the invasion of his personal space and the
shooting of his girlfriend, and personally hacked the crap out of quite
a few of them. Xavier checked in on the police radio to let them know
about
what had occured- and found that his apartment complex had been
attacked and burnt down. Fortunately, he'd been keeping most of his
belongings at Siam's, but it was still a chilling thought. After the
chaos died down, a solmn Last settled in to sleep- Cory and Eric
standing guard through the
night; Marcus, ever British, typing his report....
The Baddies:
Brian (again!) and Juliet
Nictos demons
Vampires with shotguns
Warren
Deaths of the Innocent:
A cop named Tim- killed by Nictos demon
A customer at the coffee shop- munched by vampire
A customer at the coffee shop- shot
A few people at Xavier's apartment complex- died in fire
Other Odd Notes:
Making your own explosives is fun!
The Djinn is getting organized- this is definately a bad thing!
Affirmations needs to be shut down.
It's going to be hard to sell the old Last Resort in its current
condition.
Tamara wants to build a holy water moat around the new house house,
damnit. With aligators in it!
Or just get better security systems....
Brian is very, very annoying! Undead, British, and Watcherly = bad
combo.
Brian was called (among those who were less kind to him than Cory had
been) Weirdman Wherton.
Checking your socks for the connection to evil is very amusing.

Synopsis:
A broke Bambi finds out that the reason for her newfound poverty is
that her father has been framed for a murder he didn't commit (he'd
have used a larger caliber of weapon, certainly). This resulted in
having
his assets frozen, which meant bye bye daddy-paid credit card.
Bambi
(after much wailing and whining) decided that the best thing to do was
to
start selling off some of her extra clothes and jewels to have some
money
to live on while her brothers in New Orleans try to clear her father's
name.
With Halloween fast aproaching, the Last is looking forward to a
costume
party at Donna's house. To add to the excitement, Kev's band has been
hired
to play the gig. Everything evil takes the day off on Halloween...
right?
The group is also planning on shutting down this Affirmations business.
Tamara
recieved a phone call from Willy informing her that a certain trouble
demon
was looking to sell her a black book- the book Brian is after, in fact.
Biting
the bullet so to speak, the Last is came up with the cash
required
to (hopefully) keep the book out of Brian's hands. Unfortunately, the
demon
was nabbed before he could deliver the book. The good news? The package
was
being couriered by Michael Shaginsdale. Tamara called Mike up, and got
the
package, free of charge on the stipulation she pay the demon if he ever
showed
back up. No problem.
The Last costumed up for their Halloween party and had a great time.
Marcus went on his blind date with Marie's mother... and somewhat
surprisingly, Bambi was jealous of them having a good time. The
clock struck twelve, and Never Cry Wolf started playing the music for
the witching hour. An hour later... the clock struck twelve again,
leading everyone to check their watches and go what the hell.... Sirens
sounded in the distance, and while Kev and the band played through a
second witching hour to keep everyone distracted, the group headed off
to check Xavier's police radio, then go to stop some looters downtown.
On the way, Spike told Marcus's date Rosa, about the whole vampire
thing... and she didn't take it well. Screaming, running out of the
car, and needing to be knocked out not well. The looters turned out to
be a group of vampires who didn't have the proper respect for the
holiday- and who were less than impressed with the group's costumed
appearance. A quick battle soon put both situations to right. The group
hurried back to the party where the tired band was still playing - time
still hadn't moved. A quick check of the clock that had chimed double
twelve ensued - and the Last was annoyed to find the now familiar Mark
of the Djinn on the hour hand. Tamara manually moved the hand
ahead to one, and the spell was broken. Who made the wish? The Last may
never know...
That night... Bambi went to comfort Marcus, and went a bit too far. Her
and Marcus wound up rather... involved. The next morning, they took
Danielle with them to the park in the hopes she would help them sort
out the mess they were making of their lives. Bambi and Marcus decided
that they wanted to be together... despite the obvious problems that a
Slayer/Watcher relationship would bring, and despite the fact that
Bambi was with Julius. Bambi agreed to tell Julius after school... but
first, her and Marcus went off into the bushes for a bit of
celebration...and while they were in there, Danielle was kidnapped by
the weird black van. Cursing their moment of public passion, Bambi and
Marcus returned home to face the Last with the dreadful news. Kevin was
livid that they'd allowed his girlfriend to be kidnapped due to their
'issues'. Julius was crushed that Bambi dumped him. Everyone else was
various shades of shocked, except for Spike, of course, who was just
rather amused by it all.
Figuring (correctly) that the Affirmations people had nabbed Danielle,
Tamara aranged for Marie to call Jonathan and try to lure him out to
meet her. He did so- and then the Last jumped him. He claimed to know
nothing about the kidnapping, but provided the group with Andrew and
Warren's phone numbers and addresses. When the group went to check out
Andrew's, explosives rigged to a whiteboard in the basement caused the
place to blow. They called Warren - and found out that he did indeed
kidnap Danielle, and had been planning
on releasing her with a message after he was through questioning her.
He
didn't seem to be all that concerned about the safety of Johnathan, but
he agreed to meet Cory and Tamara in Tavish Cemetary and exchange
'hostages' and discuss their mutual Brian problem. The exchange went
off well, and the
Last even got the address of Brian's house in the process. The former
Affirmations
people agreed to stop working for the Djinn (though they may have
been lying.)
The Baddies:
Group of Looting Vamps
Warren and Andrew (for kidnapping Danielle.)
Deaths of the Innocent:
None this time - yay!
Other Odd Notes:
Poor Julius is heartbroken!
There's a definite change in Bambi - a more serious, conservative
attitude. Could it be that Marcus is actually good for her - or is
there some spell at work here?
The Last is moving into their new house!
(Episode Source: Written by Aus Cushing )
Synopsis:
The Last set up surveillance on Casa Evil (Brian's house), with the
help of Warren and Eric's surveillance expertise. Thanks to Mike
Shagginsdale, they found out that his friends Jenna and Sandy were
renting space from
this "nice British couple" and that they were throwing a party Saturday
night. On Friday, Tamara and Cory accompanied Mike to the house during
the
daytime to talk to Sandy and Jenna and find out if they knew what kind
of
people they were renting from. The girls took Tamara, Cory and Mike on
a
tour of the house. Tamara saw her painting hanging in the study - and
became
determined to end the whole business that very day. She picked the
locks
to the sealed off sections of the house, and had Mike set up a trap for
Brian and Juliet (who were currently away from the house until after
sunset).
The rest of the Last was called over - and Warren was set up in the van
as
surveillance and emergency backup. The elaborate trap was ready to be
sprung,
and the group was ready to ambush the vampires... when suddenly, the
house
began to come to life and cause mischief for the group. From walking
trees
to strange floating objects, to shoved over bookcases- it was a big
mess.
And furthermore, the power went out. Most of the Last were various
states
of frightened - but Tamara was just plain annoyed and rather furious
that
something would interrupt their careful planning. And worse -
Brian
and Juliet came home early.
The trap worked like a charm and chaos ensued. Unfortunately, Juliet
made her way past Cory and crashed through the conservatory - then
gished Julius on her way to freedom rather badly. While the rest of the
Last took on the vampire minions, Tamara and Bambi were face to face
with Brian in the dining room. Suddenly the suits of armor started to
move - and Bambi fought with them, while Tamara crossed steel with
Brian. It seemed fitting that they would
battle one on one, sword to sword. During the battle, Brian
revealed the depths of his insanity - he had created a vampiric Slayer,
Juliet, shortly before becoming a vampire himself - and he just wanted
the world to end, for
the endless cycle to come to rest. Tamara assured him that he would
rest in
peace. He also said that the source of Slayer power was demonic - which
worried
her greatly. Still - he was decapitated and dusted. Examining the pile
of
dust more closely, Tamara found a necklace with half an infinity charm
that
was engraved 'for'. Cory told her that Brian and his girl, Emily, had
once
worn matching necklaces. She thought of what had become to 'ever'...
what
had become of Brian... and started to cry. Tamara was so moved by
Brian's tragic love affair that she collected the dust, intending on
burrying it. She had Danielle do a spell to ensure that his spirit was
resting in peace. It wasn't. He had some unresolved business... guilt
over what he'd done while insane, and the unresolved 'what had become
of the ever'. Tamara invited Brian
to haunt her, and took to wearing his necklace around. Due to the
dreams she'd
been having afterwards in which Brian showed her things in England -
she
decided there was only one course of action. They would simply have to
go
to England, to do right by Brian - to give him the help no one had
offered
him in life.
The Baddies:
Brian
Juliet
Two Vampire Flunkies
Xian
Deaths of the Innocent:
None - though Julius was very nearly killed!
Other Odd Notes:
Tamara's got Brian in her head!
Andrew's got to go to driving classes! After his questionable driving
in 'coming to the rescue' resulted in the vampiric Slayer stealing his
car, and
the resultant background checks, Xavier has enrolled Andrew in driving
classes.
There's a pissed-off vampiric Slayer on the loose - eeek!
Xian turned out to be a friendly fear demon who communicates through
paintings, and seems to be rather attached to the mansion, even
repairing the damage caused by the fight.
Mike and his gang of friends are staying in the 'haunted' house and
paying rent to the Last.

Synopsis:
Tamara, Spike, Cory, and Hannah are on their way to England,
following the call of Brian Wherton's ghost - and leaving Marcus in
charge
of the group that stays behind to guard the Hellmouth (and hopefully
deal
with the vampiric slayer problem). While they're in England, Cory and
Hannah
plan to get married. Many members of the Last were less than thrilled
about
the separation - especially now that there's a vampiric slayer on the
loose
who could catch Cory's axe swings. Some even speculate that Tamara's
gone
crazy - but she insists on going to England. Andrew wanted to go along
with
them - he bought himself a ticket and 'ran into the group'. The first
stop
the group made in England was Brian's cabin, where they found a nasty
beast
called the Treestalker had just killed a boy named George. His
hysterical
girlfriend, Margaret, was rescued by the gang. Tamara made her way
through
the cabin, picking up vibrations of where Emily had been killed, and
located
Brian's ghost out by the docks. Brian stopped haunting his rowboat, and
haunted
his pendant instead, making him a much more portable spirit. The group
(along
with Margaret) then headed for Albright Manor to meet Cory's parents
and
prepare for the wedding. Lucinda and Richard Albright work for the
Boswick
foundation, so the group got an interesting tour- including a sword
that
may have belonged to a Slayer. Tamara wanted the sword (badly!) Spike
offered
to steal it for her- but Cory suggested the more logical option of
purchase.
The sword, however, was a whopping 120,000 dollars due to its antiquity
and
rarity. Ouch. They contacted the Watcher's council, hoping that they'd
fund
the purchase. At last word, the Watchers were 'Sending someone to look
at
it". They then visited Emily's father... and found her ashes, and
pendant.
Contacting the spirit of Emily via Andrew's 'mighty summoning power',
the
two spirits were reuinited and the necklaces fused together as one.
While
the group was preparing for the wedding, they suddenly lost contact
with
the folks back home. Fearing the worst, Andrew wanted to fly home to
make
sure Steve was okay. Not wanting Tamara to worry (or Andrew to get in
trouble
on his own), Spike offered to go back with Andrew while Tamara stayed
to
ensure Hannah and Cory got their happy wedding. The wedding went
off
without a hitch, despite an visit from some unusual vampires who were
there
to see that Spike got a 'right bollixing" for being in town. He wasn't,
anymore,
so they politely went away. Before returning to America, Tamara and
company
searched Brian's safety deposit boxes and lockers, and found all his
writings,
a hand crossbow, his leather watcher's jacket, a ring (he had been
planning
to ask Emily to marry him), and his journal. They also found out he had
an
account in the bank of London (which once they were back in America,
Tamara
had Warren transfer to the Last- it contained a nice, tidy, six figure
sum.)
The Baddies:
Treestalker
Deaths of the Innocent:
George
Other Odd Notes:
Tamara matches Spike now, thanks to Brian's coat!
Andrew is... bisexual? Gasp!
Spike and Andrew flew 'cargo class' all the way back to Sunnydale!
British vampires are polite and organized sometimes!
The Watchers Council can be very annoying.
Brian and Emily are spending forever together in the afterlife. Yay!

Andrew's
pen pal (Alien photos!)

Synopsis:
With Tamara, Spike, Cory, and Hannah in England- the rest of
the Last is left to handle things in Sunnydale on their own. Things
started
getting bad when it looked like the vampires and demons were working
together-
they rapidly got worse, as it was discovered that they were all
folllowing
a leader named Davot and backed with Djinn power. The Last was in bad
shape
to begin with from little skirmishes with this demonic army- and
feeling
an increasing sense of despair about how they wuold manage to take down
something
so big and organized. Fortunately, they were aproached by a vampire
named
Lyle Gorch who wanted their help getting his girlfriend out of the
army,
in exchange for sneaking the Last in to the army's fortress. The group
snuck
on in to the castle, and managed to steal a couple of the enchanted
items
of the vampire king- but not without the djinn waking the whole place
up.
The items, fortunately, crumbled to dust- but the Last wound up even
more
injured. Then all hell broke lose- the army showed up right on the
front
lawn of the Last Resort, and started breaking in through the windows.
Almost
everyone was down and bleeding when Davot rallied his troops and they
all
wished together. Unfortunately, the combined power of their wishes was
just
what the Djinn was looking for- he consumed them all in a firey blast,
then
manafested himself. Spike and Andrew arrived on the scene from England
just
in time to hit the army's dragon with their car. Where the dragon is
now...
who can say? It took off and hasn't been seen since. But the bigger
problem
is the manifesting djinn. Almost everyone wound up hospitalized as a
result
of this adventure. The group returning from England came back to very
injured
companions and a rather wrecked first floor. Fortunately, Xander's
providing
some discount construction- and the transfer of Brian's funds made it
much,
much easier to pay for.
The Baddies:
Davot the vampire king
Dragon!
Djinn
Various demons and vampires
Deaths of the Innocent:
A few citizens here and there, but mass casualty was fortunately
avoided
Other Odd Notes:
Margaret came to America with Tamara and company.
Eric got to play Secret Agent Vamp!
Almost everyone got injured.
Steve was watching television downstairs during the apocolypse.
Julius killed a sister of Jhe and recieved Wu's ancestral sword and the
title
of 'demon hunter'.
A foriegn potential slayer, Ming Chow, arrived in the midst of all the
chaos
and is now dating Julius.
Bambi grew up during this trial. Alot.

Synopsis:
When Tamara and Spike decide to follow in the Albright's footsteps
and have a wedding of their own, trouble ensues. Spike's exes start
coming out of the woodwork, and a group of British vampires called the
Society of Truebloods want to catch up with him for a 'chat'. To make
matters worse, Danielle's having problems of her own in the form of a
new little brother- adopted when Sera's sister died from a fall. The
child turns out to be a demon summoned by Danielle's uncle Ronald, who
was interested in bumping off the other members of the family to be the
sole collector of an inheritance. Things went from bad to worse when,
while Tamara, Spike and Andrew were battling the demon who wanted to
open a portal to his home hell dimension, Faith showed up. She had the
Slayer Sword that the watchers had been planning on delivering to
Tamara - apparently, the Society of Truebloods had broken her out of
prison and given her the sword for some 'there can be only one Slayer'
sort of action, intending on killing the survivor. Kit Bothwell -
the new Watcher who showed up to look after Ming - showed up on the
scene with his motorcycle to help out, while the rest of the Last took
care of the Society of Truebloods waiting outside the church where the
battle was taking place. Faith learned why motorcycle safety is
important as she tried to take off on Kit's bike... and met a wall with
her unhelmeted head. The wedding wound up taking place on the scheduled
day... though Drusilla showed up to 'give away the groom', everything
else was peaceful enough. While there, however, Dru began to show an
unusual amount of interest in Kevin, perhaps becasue of his inner
werewolf. This can only be a bad thing. Kit, upon meeting the Buffybot,
had a long talk with Warren about the possibility of bringing back his
dead love and former Slayer India through the wonders of robotics and
technology. The spirit of India was drawn to the Slayer Sword, and
Tamara let the spirit possess her to talk to Kit. Spike and Tamara
enjoyed their honeymoon... all over the house, much to the annoyance of
the rest of the Last.

Uncle Ronald
'Billy' and other Rhyta demons
Drusilla

A neighbor's cat, whom Billy likely ate.
Other Odd Notes:
Is Kevin falling to the dark side?
Julius has set up an online community for the Last!
The Buffybot is now up and patrolling thanks to Warren.
Does Faith's death mean a new Slayer -- or is the First Slayer getting
tired of the multitude?

Synopsis:
Bambi is called to New Orleans to do a 'favor for the family'. Her
suspicously 'honest businessman' father is having problems with an
organized group of mobster vampires called the Sanguinia. Bambi,
Marcus, Sian and Xavier headed to New Orleans to help with the
situation. At home, the rest of the Last were having problems of their
own when Spike's sire Dru decided to have some fun with Kevin (who had
apparently given her an invitation during the wedding). Bambi enjoyed
the freedom of New Orleans a bit too much... amassing quite a beed
collection and having some various misadventures (some with Marcus).
They wound up picking up a new member of the last, Greg Wilson, a young
street punk hired by the Sanguinia that Sian rather adopted. At home,
Drusilla let Kevin out while wolfy and incapacitated Danielle, then
dragged her into the apocolypse shelter to have some 'fun with her and
the puppy'. The incident gave Kevin control over his wolf, but not
before he assualted his girlfriend. Their relationship is in serious
jeopardy because of this. During the last battle in New Orleans, Marcus
was gravely injured, his pelvic bone shattered. He is currently in a
wheelchair, with serious doubts over whether or not he'll regain full
function. Other problems at home- Margaret was accused of her
parent's murder. Turned out to be government groups fighting over her
because she's the newest called slayer. Tamara's long lost brother Adam
was one of the government agents- and the two had a family reunion.
Adam is now living with the Last.
The Baddies:
The Sanguinia
Drusilla
Kevin
Deaths of the Innocent:
None, but Marcus is pretty messed up and Danielle is emotionally
scarred!
Other Odd Notes:
Margaret is a slayer now!
Tamara's brother Adam is now living at the
Last Resort!
Poor Marcus may not recover... erm... full
function.
Kevin and Danielle are on the rocks.

Synopsis:
The Last gets wind of Evil Brian's screenplay, You Only Die Twice,
being made into a new television series on NBN 13. They take a tour of
the studio, during which folks got to try recording their voices for
soundtracks. Kevin and Tamara wound up singing excellently. Kevin asked
Tamara to join Never Cry Wolf,
the ever growing band. Kevin got a recording contract for the themesong
to Hopesprings Eternal, while Tamara in a twist of irony wound up being
chose for the themesong for You Only Die Twice. During the tour, the
Last got to see a screening of You Only Die Twice... which included a
witch named Sara Rowen who caused the zombiefilled appocolpyse seeking
vengeance against those who had wronged her daughter. Seeing a
disturbing parallel between this and Danielle's mother Sera
(whose maiden name is Rowen), the Last hurried over to Danielle's
house. Not to mention, the set used looked an awful lot like Danielle's
basement. Sera insisted that she wasn't going to cause the
zombie-filled apocalypse, but agreed to come and stay at the Last
Resort until the danger was over (considerably freaked out by the fact
that the set looked a lot like her basement). Bambi, upset by all
the attention put on singing, decided to hire her own singing coach,
Michael Czajak. When Tamara found out about it, she hired Michael
to coach and choreograph the band. Through his affiliation with the
Last, Michael wound up with a bit of unwanted attention from Drusilla -
who first toyed with him, then kidnapped his girlfriend Maggie's family
and nearly ate them. Fortunately, Drusilla left the area shortly
afterwards.
Kit Bothwell and Warren Meers collaborated
in a mixture of mad science and magic to bring former slayer India
Cohen, the love of Kit's life, back from the dead in a manner of
speaking. Her ghost is now inhabiting IndiaM, a realistic lifeform
robot created by Warren. The storm that provided the lightning needed
for the transfer was Kit-conjured... and kept raining long after the
spell was completed with the ghost in the machine.
Spike, meanwhile- was doing his band
manager job and finding gigs for the band. In addition to their
now-regular at the Bronze fair, he found them an audition for a
gig in LA opening for a fairly popular local band. A "Win a Date
With Never Cry Wolf" contest was held by the band's fanclub manager,
Naomi. Several new friends were made in the process (and Spike managed
not to kill the young man who was talking to Tamara about his art).
Never Cry Wolf drummer, Barry Silverman was having some mother
problems, however. Her tight hold on his life was becoming increasingly
apparent and bothersome.
With cash in their pockets and excitement
in their hearts, Never Cry Wolf set
off for LA in the 'Mystery Machine', driven by Mike Shaggensdale.
Meanwhile, back at the Last Resort, Sera found out about what Drusilla
had done to her daughter and was pissed about Kevin's part in it. She
located Drusilla... in LA (with the aid of a locator spell). She
hurried out in the driving rain to find and warn Never Cry Wolf... and worried that
she might be going to cause the zombie-filled appocolypse, a group lead
by Adam followed her in turn.
The Mystery Machine, meanwhile, lost power
suddenly and broke down in the rain near a large walled compound in the
middle of nowhere. When the band got out of the van to investigate-
they discovered that zombies were coming out of the nearby woods in
huge numbers. Being as they had brought instruments and not impliments
of death, they beat a hasty retreat for the compound and used an
intercom to call franticly for admitance. They were let into the
compound, which contained a creepy sterile looking building and
its attached garage- complete with a tower. A scientist named Thomas
greeted them at the door, and let the band stay for the night,
promising he'd take them to town in the morning. Oddly enough, there
were no phones in the building- and the band had lost cellphone power
at the same time the van had lost power.
Andrew (who came along because he's the
merchandizer for the band) was begining to have a bad feeling about
things- and informed the rest of the band that he thought they were
trapped in a B-movie. At first the others discounted Andrew's theory as
'crazy Andrew talk' but as they evening went on, they began to believe.
A crash and scream from upstairs started the real trouble- apparently
Thomas had opened a portal to a hellish dimension and gone crazy,
slashing up his assitant Olivia with a scaple. As the evening went on,
the group discovered that the portal had in fact had let through an
'Elder God' who was stalking them in the house. The creature could
control the dead - which caused major problems when it possessed Spike
and set him after Tamara. Spike had to knock himself out to keep from
hurting her further after the first punch was thrown.
Fortunately, about halfway through
the night, the band was able to contact home via Barry's wireless
internet connection on his laptop- and they found out help was on the
way. Reasearch discovered that the Elder-beast shunned the light- and
Andrew got to play lightmaker with help of spell instructions that
Michael Czajak dictated to him over the computer connection. The
creature was driven back through the hellish portal, the
reinformcements arrived... and then the director walked in and yelled
cut. Unfortunately for him... a zombie promptly pulped his head. The
Last clambored down to see what happened... in time to see a contract
from NBN 13 with a familar Djinic symbol bursting into flames. They
surmised that the would-be-director wanted to make the ultimate 'real
horror' film.
The band made it to LA, where they
auditioned and got the gig!

Synopsis:
The band performs in LA, where they befriend the quirky and
enigmatic guitarist for the other band, Blake. Tamara winds up
having a long talk with him over tequila about the direction and drive
in her life. She wound up making peace with a lot of things, and found
herself more than a bit intrigued by the quiet wisdom displayed. The
Last returned home from LA - the band happy and with pay in their
pockets. Kevin bought a beautiful ring for Danielle to try and patch
things up between them. Bambi got a new hobby - fashion design.
Barry's home situation got worse. He began to plan his emancipation,
getting Niram (the Last's lawyer) to file for it. While waiting for the
paperwork to go through, he decided to take a bus to Palo Alto to hang
out at Blake's house until his emancipation came through. Barry's been
learning about life and philosophy, and having the time of his life.
While Blake was talking to Tamara, he was giving her some advice about
their ongoing struggle against the Djinn. He called the three living
slayers 'the Mystic (Tamara), the Innocent (Bambi), and the Warrior
(Margaret)'. Tamara recognized the terminology immediately from their
translation of the Tome of Banishing. This was very upsetting to her,
considering the book speaking about the three as 'demons'. It seems
that Brian's long ago supposition had been proven - the source of
slayerdom is demonic power. Blake warned that the 'door would have to
be opened' and the 'fire would have to come out' in order for it to
work. In other words, the Hellmouth would have to be actively
open...which wasn't the best of news. He also cautioned that only
humans must be there when it's closed, because anything else
would be sucked into the darkness. He emphatically insisted that all
three slayers must be protected, and was about to say more... when he
took ill. A sudden burning fever overtook him. Barry called one of the
other members of Blake's band, who called the hospital... and he was
rushed in with an impossibly high fever that the doctors couldn't bring
down or stabilize.
Barry then called the Last Resort, which mobilized to get a group of
spellcasters there (Kit, Danielle, and Sera) thanks to a portal that
Kit opened. Once there, Kit removed the Djinn-caused curse from Blake,
and provided him with an amulet of protection. Kit had a conversation
with Blake about what he had seen, and how long he'd been seeing
things. Kit returned home with his group and told Tamara that he
believes Blake is some sort of prophet. Figuring out that Blake
had been seeing the ruins of the highschool and a cheerleading trophy,
Tamara led a group to the Hellmouth where they recovered a strangely
undamaged trophy. Gloria held the trophy and was able to determine that
it had once held the spirit of a very angry witch... who was now no
longer in residence. The name on the trophy, Catherine Madison,
reminded Michael of his school friend Amy Madison who was currently a
rat at Willow's house. He called Willow to make sure Amy was still
there.. but the cage was empty. Amy and her mother... might be back,
pissed off, and working for the Djinn.
In the middle of all this, Hannah announced that she and Cory were
expecting their first child. Happy event, but the timing...
Spike, disturbed by the thought that Tamara might die in the Hellmouth
opening, recalled a distant time when Drusilla had crafted amulets of
protection against just such a force. He rushed off for LA, and hasn't
been heard from since.
Barry's emancipation court date has been set- and Blake will be
returning him to Sunnydale. But is it safe for Blake to be in
Sunnydale, considering?
