History:

Born in a small Chinese villiage, Ming had unusual blue eyes perhaps due to some foriegn blood way back. Ming's parents wanted a male child, and because Chinese law said that they could only have one child, they sold Ming into slavery so that they could try again. Ming had a joyless childhood spent working in squalid conditions for no pay in a textile mill. When she was about ten, a soldier inspecting the mill noticed her unusual eyes and siezed her from the owner. He took her home to live with his family, and she was very happy there at first. He had a daughter who taught Ming how to play games, and a wife who doted on her. Then one night, the solider came into Ming's room, drunken and muttering about her pretty eyes. He forced himself upon her- but she fought him off with surprizing strength. Though she didn't know it at the time, this was due to her Slayer potential. Furious at her refusal of his advances, he threw her out in the street where she stole to survive for the next two years until the council found her. Her Watcher, Lynn Chow, seemed like an angel to Ming. She trained her in many things, and told her what a special girl she was. When Ming turned 15, Lynn decided to bring her to America to meet the current Slayer. Alas, vampires attacked, and killed Lynn. Ming found herself all alone again, and unable to speak the language. When she arrived at the Last Resort, Julius was appointed as translator (with the help of the computer). Ming found that the more time she spent around Julius, the more she liked him. True love blossomed, and her language skills grew.
