Your Public Is Watching

One important thing to remember while managing an Actor's career is that their adoring public will be watching. This means that they may have to curb their desires for inappropriate behavior, both in public and on the set.

Content Ratings Authority

One thing that all Actors have to respect, even while performing, is the Content Ratings Authority. Generally, the Content Ratings Authority puts limits on what you can and cannot do within a specific Show (for example, kids' shows generally don't allow graphic violence, for instance). If you deliberately violate the Content Ratings Authority, the Director may remove the Scene (and possibly your Actor!) from the Show (no, you don't get any Points as a result). If this occurs and the tabloids hear about it, it can be very bad for the Renown (generally immediately costing a Star Power level). 4-D Studios films Shows with the following content ratings:

K - Kids. Kids shows are generally meant for very young children, and as a result, Actors must be in full control of themselves. No adult language, no violence, no gambling, no drugs, and no adult content or situations whatsoever. If you can't say it in front of a five-year-old, you can't say it here.

E - Everyone. These family-friendly shows may involve mild violence (slapstick or cartoon), but generally still don't have naughty words, serious violence, gambling, drugs (for the record, that generally includes cigarettes and alcohol) or other mature content.

T - Teenagers. These shows allow regular violence and small amounts of blood, and may allow naughty words as long as they're censored. They also allow use of cigarettes and alcohol, gambling, and implications of adult situations.

M - Mature. Mature shows allow serious (but not cult-movie-level) violence, have no restrictions on language, and allow use of drugs and gambling, as well as adult situations. Sex, torture, and other extremely graphic content on camera is not allowed, although it can be implied through a Fade-To-Black.)

At this time, 4-D Studios is not in the Adults Only market.

You Are Being Watched

An important fact to remember for Actors is that they are often being observed -- do something in public where anyone can see, and you might find it on the cover of a tabloid. Sometimes this can help your career, and sometimes it can do serious damage to your Renown -- if you want to do something without anyone knowing it, don't do it on camera, and don't do it in public! (This means that anything you really want to keep secret should probably be behind a cut with a warning, and shouldn't be in a place where people could see...)
